What I Eat in a Day??

Hey everyone! So for today’s post, I’m going to show you what I eat during a typical work day. I love watching these kinds of  “What I Ate” videos on YouTube, because it’s just interesting to see what other people eat, and maybe get some new ideas/inspiration for your own meals!

6:10 am:

To start off my day, I always have a cup of a coffee! Always! These Eight O’ Clock Hazelnut k cups were on sale at my local grocery store recently, so I thought I would try them out. So far I really like them! Other than my cup of coffee, I usually don’t eat any other breakfast. I know I know, I probably should be eating something else, but I’m just not a big breakfast eater.

10:30am:

Another reason why I don’t eat much breakfast is because my lunch break at work comes pretty early. Today, I had a little sampling of different things. I had some fruit salad, with grapes, kiwi, mango, pineapple, and cantaloupe. I also had a handful of peanuts and cashews with some extra sharp cheddar cheese. I love the salty/creamy combo of the cheese and nuts together! Lastly, I had a couple of these two-ingredient banana oatmeal cookies! They are super easy to make and really pretty healthy. They only call for two ingredients (the bananas and oats), but I like to add some peanut butter, wheat germ, cinnamon, ground flax-seed, or chia seeds just to bump up the health factor. Last but not least, I have a big glass of ice water in my Bumper to Bumper cup (gotta represent)! 😉

2:30pm:

When I get off work I usually have a small snack just to tide me over until dinner. However, today I was really busy and I didn’t have time to eat anything, but I did have another glass of water!

6:00pm:

I try to have dinner ready between 5:30 and 6, because Avery and I are both usually starving! On the menu tonight is tilapia fillets, baked sweet potatoes, and mixed vegetables. I tried a new seasoning rub o the tilapia and it was pretty good! I will link it below! Avery didn’t like it though; she thought it was too spicy…..she’s very sensitive to spicy things though. I’ve been on a sweet potato kick lately, and I just can’t seem to get enough of them! They  are one of my favorite things to have as a side, or an entire meal if it’s big enough!

8:00pm:

I like to have a snack a little later in the evening, and Avery typically has one with me. Most of the time, I actually end up sharing my snack with her! Tonight though, I was working on the blog and didn’t get around to my snack. So instead of something really impressive and delicious….I just had a handful of grapes! …I guess I could have put these in a bowl..to eliminate this awkward hand shot, but I really did just eat them out of my hand! And I didn’t want to get a bowl dirty just for some grapes!

grapesI hope you enjoyed seeing what I ate today!! If you guys find this interesting I will do them more often!

Maybe I’m the only weird one who likes to see what people eat…but I hope not. 🙂

I’ll be weird with you and share my food diary with you. I like to know what other people eat too! We vary a lot from day to day though.

8 am – coffee – always coffee! A little heavy cream with a tbs of truvia Brown sugar.
9 am – fruit salad – all fresh – watermelon, peaches, bananas & oranges.
12 – quesadillas. We only use the raw tortillas (we cook them of course) & monterrey Jack cheese or queso fresco with some turkey. We try to get some of our veggies in at lunch too.
3 – toast with peanut butter
6 – tonight we had spaghetti but replaced the pasta with zoodles (zucchini)!
Probably will have popcorn for a snack!

Thanks for sharing!! Your day sounds like it was delicious! I love quesadillas! I could probably eat them 3-4 times a week….Cameron wouldn’t go for that though lol. I want to know about your zoodles though; what do you use to make them? I’ve done a bunch of reading about them and I’ve wanted to get a spiralizer, but I just can’t decide if I would use it enough to warrant it taking up space in my kitchen!
