October Favorites!

We’re already into the first week of November…Nov..emm..berrrr people!?!? What the heck?? Yikes, this year is like pretty much over. Another one. Gone. Why does this keep happening? Time could really just slow down at any point and I would be happy. But since it’s probably not going to, we’re going to just continue on and talk about all the things I loved during the month of October…which is now over.

  • Wedge booties– I picked up these lace up wedge booties towards the end of September, and I figured I should probably wear them for more than a week before I shared them with you. So I waited until this month’s favorites to include them. I’m in love! They are so comfy and cute and fall-y. I actually wanted some of these last year when they first started making their appearance, but I wasn’t sure how much I would wear them. Let me tell ya, I’m so glad I pulled the trigger this year! I’ve worn them with dresses and skirts and with leggings and skinny jeans. Dressy or casual they look great!

  • Designated Survivor- This is a new show in the fall lineup on ABC, and it’s pretty good. It was Cameron’s idea to DVR the premier because he thought it looked interesting and something he would be in to. I was kind of skeptical because I was afraid it would be boring and political, but so far we are both really enjoying it! It has just the right amount of action and suspense to keep me interested. To give you a little run down, a terrorist attack takes out basically all of the government officials in Washington D.C. and the “Designated Survivor” (essentially a regular ole joe) becomes the President. It’s probably my favorite new show of this season!

  • Candy Corn- Uhhh yeah, I’m one of those weird people who like candy corn….and I’ve been snacking on it all month long. I actually have been enjoying the flavored candy corn even more than the regular kind! My dad picked me up this mixed bag of caramel apple, apple pie, and green apple flavors and it has been my fave! I know I know, most of you are probably thinking, Yuck, that sounds disgusting, but I love it! Plus, it was the month of Halloween so I felt I needed to snack on some “traditional” Halloween candy! 🙂

  • Candles- There is something about the arrival of fall that makes burning candles so appealing. Over the last month or so I’ve been burning through what was left of my Bath and Bodyworks candle stash from last year. The two that I finished up were “Thanksgiving Morning”, and “Marshmallow Fireside“.  They both smelled amazing and filled my home with a warm and toasty aroma! I love candles and my favorite are the 3-wick candles from Bath and Bodyworks. I checked their website and while you can’t purchase the “Thanksgiving Morning”, “Marshmallow Fireside is still available!  Since I burned through the last of my fall stash, this past weekend I picked up another candle to take me through the holiday season….and it’s appropriately named “Tis the Season”. I’ve had this one before and I cannot wait to burn it throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas season!

There’s all my favorites for this month! Thanks for reading, and I would love to hear about something you loved throughout the month of October! 🙂
